Santa Monica, CA (November 27, 2018) - Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, a Professional Corporation, announced today the addition of Jeffrey Kateman as a shareholder in the firm’s Santa Monica office and a member of the firm’s Corporate and M&A practice group. Prior to joining Stradling, Jeff was a partner in the corporate practice at Sheppard Mullin, and formerly served as a co-leader of the firm’s private equity team. Prior to his time at Sheppard Mullin, he was a partner at Latham & Watkins, where he worked for over 20 years.

At Stradling, Jeff will focus on mergers and acquisitions, as well as the representation of private equity firms in leveraged acquisitions of privately held and public companies and general corporate matters including corporate governance and takeover defense. He has represented clients in acquisitions and dispositions in a broad range of industries including technology, health and medical devices, pharmaceutical, retail and consumer products, sports, entertainment and media, aerospace and defense, cleantech, and education.
Jeff earned his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, 1992, and a B.A. from Columbia University, 1989. He is a member of the California and New York State Bar Associations and formerly served on the Executive Committee of the Business and Corporations Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
